Here at One’s Treasure, we wish to see our jewellery sparkle for you for as long as possible. Even though most of our products are made in durable 18K gold, a little effort goes a long way in making your jewellery look good as new. Have your jewellery always looking good as new over an extended period of time by following these care advise below.

 

In general…

• Always avoid leaving your jewellery under direct sunlight, in very hot areas or in moisture-heavy environments.
• Try not to drop your or scratch it against hard surfaces. Some stones may be quite soft, thus any scratches or cracks may lower the value of the stone.
• Avoid letting it come into contact with chemicals such as body lotion, perfume, cosmetics, etc. sometimes the accumulation of dust and these chemicals around the ridges of your jewellery may dull the brilliance of the stone. Thus always wear your jewellery last before you leave your home. However, this can be easily solves by cleaning it with a lint-free, 100%-cotton cloth.
• Avoid bathing and swimming with it as well. The chlorine content, chemicals and heat may affect the colour of the stone overtime.
• When storing your jewellery, always face the stones away from each to avoid scratching.
• For sterling silver, store it in air packed area such as a zip lock bag to prevent it from tarnishing as quickly.

 

How to Clean your jewellery…

• Every jewellery love should have their own lint-free cloth made from 100%-cotton. A little wipe around the areas always does the trick.
• To clean the nicks and crannies, use a soft tooth brush and backing soda and gently brush the edges of your piece and rinse clean.
• You may also pour a little bit of vinegar over it.
